folds the lily all her sweetness up
*yawns* Oh I’m rather sleepy again – not the best way to open the week! I managed to polish off my ENGL 348 paper last night, complete my resume and get a start on my chem lab questions. I still have to sign up for a science co-op interview…but I’m really rather nervous about that.
Someone brought up an interesting point today in ENGL 357 – that everytime we look back upon history, we change history. As someone who is fascinated by the processes of historiography, I think that’s a provocative idea – I wonder how I didn’t figure this out before! I’m concerned with who decides what counts as historic and what isn’t; what is recorded and what is not – but it’s interesting to figure how people look back, when people look back and what people look at. Maybe I’ll think about this some more.
I’ve got to stop buying books! I’ve got way too many things I want to read and not enough time to read them. Though, I’m finding great joy in re-reading Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. I wonder why I have my great fascination with children’s literature? I think I will check Scarfe library to see if there are any copies of le petit prince later on.
Hm, I will be busy tonight at work. I will work on my chemistry homework then, and try to work on some other stuff at that time too.
