*yawns* Oh I’m rather sleepy again – not the best way to open the week! I man­aged to pol­ish off my ENGL 348 paper last night, com­plete my resume and get a start on my chem lab ques­tions. I still have to sign up for a sci­ence co-​op interview…but I’m really rather nervous about that.

Someone brought up an inter­est­ing point today in ENGL 357 – that everytime we look back upon his­tory, we change his­tory. As someone who is fas­cin­ated by the pro­cesses of his­tori­ography, I think that’s a pro­voc­at­ive idea – I won­der how I didn’t fig­ure this out before! I’m con­cerned with who decides what counts as his­toric and what isn’t; what is recor­ded and what is not – but it’s inter­est­ing to fig­ure how people look back, when people look back and what people look at. Maybe I’ll think about this some more.

I’ve got to stop buy­ing books! I’ve got way too many things I want to read and not enough time to read them. Though, I’m find­ing great joy in re-​reading Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-​Glass. I won­der why I have my great fas­cin­a­tion with children’s lit­er­at­ure? I think I will check Scarfe lib­rary to see if there are any cop­ies of le petit prince later on.

Hm, I will be busy tonight at work. I will work on my chem­istry home­work then, and try to work on some other stuff at that time too.
